The reef formation at this site is called spur and groove formation or “finger corals”. The corals provide sanctuary to a lot of marine life. Since this is a cut in the reef and a channel, at times the currents on this dive are fast and make for a great drift dive. During the surface interval it is quite common to have an encounter with a friendly manatee.
Depths for the dive range from 35 feet/10 meters to 130 feet/40 meters and beyond. Often seen on the dive are Dolphin, Sea Turtles, and Spotted Eagle Rays. As always there is an abundance of smaller fish at this site.
