Currency
Banking services through the Atlantic Bank. Visa and Mastercard cash advances. ATM Machine available, two blocks from our shop. Travelers checks (in USD) and U.S. currency can be exchanged at bank or at Belize Diving Services or local shops at a rate of 1 to 2 ($1U.S. = $2 Belize)

Electricity
110 volts.

Health Needs
There is both a free clinic and private health care clinic on the island. Both have doctors available Monday through Saturday. The pharmacy on island has a good supply of cheap generic drugs. If they don’t have what you need on hand they can usually get it within a day. The nearest decompression chamber is 20 minutes away in San Pedro.

Supplies and Rentals
Bottled water is readily available and may be delivered to your doorstep through Bowen and Bowen distributors. Sodas and beer also delivered. Bicycle rentals available at many shops on the island Fishing rod rentals available close to Belize Diving Services and by the split. Golf carts may be rented by the hour, day, or week.

Grocery stores
There are several general grocery and fruit stands.

Internet services
There are several internet cafes open daily. DSL high-speed Internet available and some hotels offer wireless access.

Book exchange
There are several places to exchange or buy books.
